MIXING &
MASTERING

HOW OUR MIXING SERVICE WORKS

Mixing is the art of conditioning individual audio tracks and putting them in the best possible form. Then, fitting the tracks together and finally bundling them in a single stereo track. This fully mixed track is ready for mastering. Mixing is more than adjusting the volume levels of vocal tracks and individual instruments. A professional mixing will bring your composition to the next level by an expert usage of equalization, compression, limiting, manual gain automations, effects and whatever is required to make the most out of your song.

- Upload a preview file of the track you want us to mix to services like WeTransfer or DropBox
and send an email to contact@MakeItHappenStudios.info with the link to download the file, specifying also the total number of the stems you want us to mix.

- We will reply to you within 1 day. At this point you will have to send us (through wetransfer or whatever service you decided to use to upload your files) the separated stems, ready to be mixed.

- The stems must be in Wav Format at least at 44.1 Khz / 16Bit
and a maximum of 96 Khz / 32 Bit. Export files without dither (no dithering).

- Remove any kind of compression, equalization, limiting and any other plugin from your stems (unless they are required to create a specific composition effect).

- Remove any kind of compression, equalization, limiting and any other plugin from your master bus.

- Make sure none of your channels are clipping.

- Reference tracks give us an audible example of what you are looking for.

Send us 1 or 2 reference tracks (please choose audio files with good FLAC or WAV quality).
By not sending any reference track you will leave the final mixing sound to our taste and interpretation.

- Include in the e-mail all the details that you think pertinent to the mixing.
(Make sure to include the artist name and title in the File as well).

- As soon as we'll receive the files we'll check if they are fine and ready to be used. If there is any problem, we will write you back, informing you of the issues and waiting for the corrected material before to proceed with the mixing.

- At this point, before we start working on the mixing you will have to pay us the 50% of the total price for the mixing service, upfront. (Preferred payment method PayPal).

- Within 7-10 business days you’ll receive your mixed song called “FINAL MIXING” for Review / Approval (sometimes we may be able to mix your track within 3-5 days).

- Regarding the review stage, the CUSTOMER can make up to (at most) 3 adjustments.

- Once you are happy with the final result (within the 3 adjustments) you will have to send us the remaining 50% fee for the mixing service before we send you the final mixing file
(at 44100hz, 24 bit wav format, -6db peak unless another format is requested).

Mixing Session Files from the DAW WILL NOT BE SENT TO CUSTOMERS.

(If the client wants the files, an extra 50 eur fee must be paid).

For any other question feel free to write us a mail or contact us through the live chat box.

HOW OUR MASTERING SERVICE WORKS

Mastering is the step required to enhance a mixed track into a final master, ready to be released on the market. We examine the track, correct residual mix problems, maximise it, and set the required amount of loudness to make it compatible with commercial releases.
Mastering is the final process of the production and it is one of the least understood parts
of the production process but, quite honestly, one of the most important.
A master can make or break your song, we’ll help your songs shine!

- Upload the Final Mixing File (or the separated stems if you've chosen the stem mastering option) to services like WeTransfer or DropBox and send an email to contact@MakeItHappenStudios.info with the link to download the files.

- The Mixdown File (or the separated stems if you've chosen the stem mastering option) must be in Wav Format at least at 44.1 Khz / 16Bit  and a maximum of 96 Khz / 32 Bit. Export files without Dither (No Dithering).

Remove any kind of compression, equalization, limiting and any other plugin from your master bus.

- Leave at least 6dBs of headroom in the master channel. Make sure none of your channels are clipping.

- Reference tracks give us an audible example of what you are looking for.
